David is a Software Development Manager, in the Solutions Group at IBI. Our projects focus on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications, which includes solutions for Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Performance Measures Reporting and Analysis, CCTV Video Dissemination, Maintenance and Inventory Management software, Fleet Dispatch and Tracking solutions, and Express Lanes Management systems.

Philip is and Associate Director of Infrastructure Planning with over 30 years’ experience in municipal infrastructure facility planning associated with water, wastewater and storm water systems. Philip has been involved in and managed an array of municipal, water resource, and watershed management projects across Canada and in the United States involving field program, modelling, and facility planning in response to growth, infill and intensification in urban areas and wet weather issues. He specializes in master planning and wet weather issues (flooding, CSO planning, receiving water quality, regulatory requirements) through the development and application of hydrologic / hydraulic models to evaluate complex watershed and municipal systems.

Xin is a project lead with the Systems Engineering and Management group based in Toronto and has been working with IBI Group since 2012. His experience spans between the systems practice and the infrastructures practice at IBI Group. Xin’s systems experience includes both design and deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems, Advanced Traffic Management Systems, Advanced Traffic Information Systems, and toll systems. He has been involved at various stages in the systems project lifecycle, including concept of operations, stakeholder engagement, design & requirement tracing, QA/QC, documentation, and client training.
His traffic operations experience includes traffic analysis, micro-simulation, highway operations and incident management. Xin has extensive experience in large scale Private-Public-Partnerships, both from the owner’s and the bidder’s side. His P3 experience includes the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, as the lead technical manager during the design phase, and as the project manager during the construction phase services, for IBI Group’s design disciplines.

Hans is the Bridge Engineering Group Lead at IBI with progressive experience in bridge/culvert structure preliminary and detail design, rehabilitation design, inspection, evaluation, project coordination/management, contract preparation and administration on a variety of MTO, Metrolinx, and municipal assignments. Hans is currently overseeing all bridge and culvert design assignments on major transit and highway/roadway projects undertaken by IBI. Hans’s experience is diversified across a wide spectrum of technical and managerial domains, and includes numerous projects for provincial, municipal and private clients with a wide range of structural sizes and complexity. He has successfully demonstrated on a number of projects with MTO and municipalities that he is qualified to manage projects ranging from low to high complexity.

Kevin is an experienced Construction Management specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the Civil Engineering (Land Development) industry. Highly skilled in Construction and Project Management, Contract Management, Project Planning, and staff management. Excellent communication skills and a forward thinker which contributes to strong leadership and client relations. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Sarah-Lynn Schnare is a NCIDQ-Certified Interior Designer with 10 years of design experience. Her portfolio primarily focuses on corporate design specializing in professional and financial services firms, including an ARIDO Award for her contributions to the KPMG Toronto North project. Her experience has developed a keen eye for quality, attention to detail, and client-focused professionalism. Her fine arts and interior design background have proven to be a seamless link to innovative, yet functional solutions. Sarah-Lynn’s passion for design and curiosity enables her to deliver creative and thoughtful solutions. Her ability to build relationships and listen intently makes her a valuable team member that successfully works collaboratively with all members of a project team. Her experience covers all facets of the design process from start to finish. Sarah-Lynn’s mission is to ensure client requirements and expectations are met efficiently and thoughtfully with quality of work as her highest regard.

Farnaz Abed is an award-winning designer with over 22 years of experience, including 15 years in Canada. She has worked on a variety of large-scale architectural projects throughout Vancouver, BC and across both Canada and the Middle East. Her experience spans into creating and developing overall design concepts, design development, managing the team, and project coordination through different phases. Farnaz’ s focus is on large-scale residential and mixed-use buildings. Farnaz has expertise in designing functional and efficient buildings coupled to thoughtfully considered context and unique designs. This background results in her clients benefiting from her strategic mind and keen eye for detail, giving them an advantage in a rapidly changing market. Farnaz has a Master of architecture and planning. She is a former member of the royal architectural institute of Canada and the Iranian construction engineer’s organization. Honors and Exhibitions inlcude:

• Over twelve solo and group water color exhibitions in Iran, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and Vancouver, Canada

For six years, Joe Peters had been the President and a Principal Consultant at Peters Energy Solutions, an energy industry consulting company with a focus in Alberta. The company was acquired by IBI Group and is involved in the development of over 600 MW of wind, solar and gas generation projects. Specific to solar power development, Peters Energy had represented both project developers and landowners, and provided services for project development, grid connections, off-grid projects, revenue modelling, technology selection and regulatory hearings. Clients include oil and gas companies, foreign and domestic generation developers, indigenous nations, advocacy organizations and irrigation districts.

Prior to founding Peters Energy Solutions Mr. Peters was employed at Genalta Power, as Director, Regulatory, developing distribution-connected generation. Prior to that, Mr. Peters held a number of positions within FortisAlberta for 10 years, including Manager, Project Management and Engineering as well as Manager of Service Development, which involved the creation of a new rate class. Mr. Peters has also held several positions in Gas Transmission at TransCanada and NOVA Gas Transmission over a period of 11 years, culminating in the role of Manager, Pipeline Supply Analysis in Marketing Strategy.

Peter is an experienced Construction / Project Manager with a demonstrated 25 year history of working in the municipal water / waste water consulting industry. Possessing skills in Customer Service, Engineering, Leadership, and Project Management allows him to be a strong operations professional with a focus on all types of stakeholders.

Peter holds a B.Sc. KIn McMaster University and a 3 Year Eng. DIpl. Mohawk College.

Drawing on 30 years of experience in cities as diverse as London, New York and Buenos Aires, Chris brings an acute urban sensibility to the design of contemporary buildings. As a designer and manager, he has headed up large multi-disciplinary teams collaborating on complex educational, healthcare, residential and mixed-use projects in Canada and the United States. Chris leads the Canada East K-12 sector for IBI which counts the majority of school boards in southern Ontario as clients. Comfortable with projects at any scale, Chris always looks for design opportunities that further the clients’ goals with an original solution. Firmly committed to sustainability he has taught and consulted on sustainable design in the USA, Spain and Argentina. Chris also leads IBI’s Canada East Sustainability Initiative and is a member of our corporate Climate Action Initiative.
