Phillip Curley started HotSpot when he was 21. Before being acquired by IBI Group. Phillip’s been recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s top 50 CEO’s (2021), Top 30 under 30 Atlantic Canada Business Magazine (2019), and Entrepreneur of the Year by the Fredericton Chamber and UNB TME.(2018,2016).

Ainsley is a transportation planning engineer with 19 years of experience in transportation planning and project management, with expertise in transportation policy and master plan implementation. Ainsley has worked on a wide range of projects from policy development and transportation impact assessments through to design and construction. She has a specialty in multi-modal transportation, renewal projects, Complete Streets, and collaborative processes to develop principles and goals for project success. With training in GBA+ as well as diversity and inclusion, Ainsley seeks to develop transportation infrastructure which is accessible and welcoming for all users. She is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Gregory is a Transportation Systems Specialist highly experienced in the application of advanced technology for public transit. Since joining IBI Group in 2012, he has been involved in the specification, evaluation, and implementation of Computer Aided Dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location Systems (CAD/AVL), automated fare collection systems, business intelligence and reporting systems, security systems, yard management systems, and, real-time passenger information systems.

Alexandra is an awarded designer with over 25 years of Interior Design and Project Management experience. Throughout her career, she has seamlessly bridged the architecture and interior design fields into coherent and unique projects. Her commitment to innovative, yet functional solutions and client-focused professionalism has a proven record in corporate, institutional, and mixed-use developments. Her portfolio also includes retail, hospitality, and residential developments.

Alexandra is combining the known parameters with the research leading to future needs and the client-specific data and standards, to achieve the environment that will serve efficiently. She has completed all aspects of project design from initial meetings and assessments, concept development, client, and consultant team coordination right through to project implementation, and move-in. Alexandra ensures client requirements and expectations have been met by keeping a keen eye on the efficiency, precision, and quality of work.

Alex Ariza has over ten years of transportation engineering experience spanning software systems planning, design, and deployment, traffic management centre operations, special event logistics and operations, and field data collection. Alex is technically proficient and operationally minded, providing support for the deployment of new software both from technical systems integration and adapting standard operating practices perspectives. They manage the ATMS systems engineering and product operations, bridging the gap between technical software and operations management.

Brad was born and raised in China and worked as an architect there for over 10 years before moving to Canada in 2005. He joined IBI Group in 2011 and has over twenty-five years of professional architectural experience, particularly in high-rise and mid-rise residential projects. Brad is familiar with concrete, steel and wood structure buildings. With skills in construction site management, he has coordinated general contracting, multidisciplinary trades, and has worked with engineering and other specialty consultants during design and construction. I contribute valuable knowledge to ensure project goals, budgets and schedules are met. Additionally, my attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills guarantee that every project I work on is completed to the highest possible standard.

Alyssa Koehn is an urban designer with IBI Group’s Vancouver practice. Her work focuses primarily on the development of master planning concepts, where she manages both the design and approval process, as well as facilitating public engagement and outreach. She has worked on both public and private sector projects, ranging from a few acres to a city-wide scale. Alyssa holds both a Master of Architecture and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles. She works to integrate the two disciplines, ensuring that master planning concepts both align with local policy goals and transition smoothly into architecture.

Alyssa is a strong communicator and project manager, often leading large and complex project teams. Her strengths are her attention to detail, efficient administration, and interdisciplinary approach to site design, as well as the integration of design-thinking into the public engagement process to ensure successful outcomes for both participants and clients.

Andrew has over 33 years of experience in architectural design for various building typologies. He has designed private homes, mixed-use developments, office buildings, corporate office headquarters, multi-family mid-rise and high-rise, restaurants, restoration, laboratory buildings, museums, and various specialty buildings.

Andrew has a Masters of Architecture and a Minor in Urban Planning from North Carolina State University. He has worked primarily on the east coast of the United States but has also worked in London, UK. Prior to joining IBI Andrew was President of ORA Architecture in Raleigh, and Partner and Director of Design for several other prominent firms in North Carolina.

Padraig is a sustainability-focused architect at IBI, guiding projects to reach Net Zero and deliver significant greenhouse gas emission reductions, through innovative and cost-effective measures. He is a Certified Passive House Designer, consulting on IBI’s portfolio of large Passive House buildings across Europe and North America. He was responsible for the architectural detailing on IBI’s first certified passive house building and continues to grow his portfolio in residential, cultural and healthcare buildings, which meet this stringent building energy standard.

Padraig’s knowledge of high-performance building is combined with his whole life carbon analysis studies, accounting for embodied carbon to achieve carbon neutral buildings. Working in the UK and North America, lessons learnt from both continents are being applied to broaden IBI’s approach to Net Zero architecture.

As Architecture Lead in Southfield, Michigan—and a Licensed Architect—Gregg has extensive experience solving complex architectural problems, developing creative solutions, and helping clients achieve their goals. Be it the design aspects of a building, the interpretation of a client’s needs, code or environmental constraints, or the nuts and bolts needed for construction, each step in the process requires careful analysis and determination of the right approach to move forward—Gregg has the natural propensity to select the right approach for every project he oversees. His practice markets have included automotive, manufacturing, industrial, commercial, retail, education, residential, and mixed-use buildings.

Gregg is responsible for architectural design and development that include organizing and maintaining administrative controls, technical review of all projects, and quality control from project inception through construction and final closeout. He leads a highly creative and talented team of architects who focus on spaces where people work, live, and learn. Gregg is NCARB certified and holds 20 active licenses.
