Sylvia Fitzwater has over 20 years of interior design experience, with a specialization in the design of spaces for educational, commercial, health care and institutional clients. Her primary responsibilities include: design management of the project, design collaboration with client, creating interior design concepts, specifying furniture and fixtures, equipment , managing the interior design process including all furniture selections and specifications, overseeing interior project schedules, and adhering to furniture/fabrics/accessories project budgets. Sylvia is conscientious, precise, and is known as an effective communicator with client and stakeholder groups.

As an architect with a structural engineering background, Susanna Pon brings multidisciplinary views and solutions to any project. She has over ten years of experience in master planning, site planning, programming, design, technical production, document coordination, project management, construction administration, and project close-out of new and renovated commercial, institutional, recreational, hospitality, and residential projects. She has worked with numerous client user groups on institutional and recreational projects to consolidate their needs and provide a design that accommodates all groups in a multi-purpose setting.

Susan Christensen has over 20 years of experience in marketing management and communications, operations, business development, and global brand management. As Director, Operations USA, Susan will unify and grow IBI Group’s operational services and reporting structures across the country.

Prior to joining IBI, Susan spent 10 years working with one of the world’s largest freight forwarder and overnight delivery companies, where she was responsible for developing the company’s customer-facing global trade data web applications.

Stuart Jones is head of the Vancouver-based urban design practice. Trained in landscape architecture, his professional experience spans over 20 years and includes work on both the development and the planning sides of the business. His projects have ranged from downtown infill sites to large master planned communities in locations across North America, Asia, Scandinavia, and the Middle East. He is skilled at creating a compelling story and sense of place for projects, which he communicates through drawings, standards, guidelines, and zoning. He has a strong understanding of the key issues affecting development including building types, street design, transit, servicing and the public realm, and he is an effective manager of the specialists in these fields.

Steven Thesier has more than 26 years of experience with areas of specialty that include project management and project design for new construction and renovations, educational facilities planning, referendum planning for educational facilities, NYSED coordination on school projects, and NYS OGS project development and execution.

Steven Butler has over ten years of civil engineering experience, with emphasis in structural design. He has evaluated and developed superstructure and sub-structure plans for a variety of bridges within the states of Ohio and West Virginia. His experience extends to all phases of civil engineering projects, including preliminary studies and reports, site surveys and investigations, specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates. Steven’s work includes bridge design, inspection, replacement, rehabilitation and review projects, where his deliverables include the design of superstructures, substructures, and miscellaneous details along with site layout and minor roadway items.

Steve Schibuola is the US Transportation Planning Lead with 25 years of experience in a variety of urban transportation disciplines. He provides strategic and service planning for public transportation, including major investment studies, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments of transportation improvements; policy and research studies in the field of sustainable transportation; and user needs assessments, software design, and operations planning for intelligent transportation systems.

Steve Kuo holds a Master Degree in Architecture from Cornell University and has 25 years of experience in all stages of architectural process with particular focus in design development, technical planning, construction documentation and management during building phase with a specialization in mixed use and high-rise residential projects.

As Project Manager, he oversees production of working drawings, contract administration and leads consultant teams for Client/Owner representatives as well as directs an Internal staff of ten on various large scale projects including Maple Leaf Square and Air Canada Centre.

Stephen Donnelly is one of the firm’s leading specialists in the design and construction of educational facilities. His experience ranges from childcare centres, elementary and secondary schools to award winning College and University buildings. He has been involved in all facets of project realization for many of the firm’s large-scale sophisticated projects at several Canadian Universities.

Stephen is currently the project manager and lead designer for the new Applied Health Sciences Addition at the University of Waterloo. He has extensive experience delivering projects via a variety of delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build and P3 procurement.

Sol Wassermuhl has been a pivotal figure in the Toronto architecture community and has served international clients, with projects in Canada, China, Russia and USA. Sol is a member of the Toronto Society of Architects and the Ontario Association of Architects, and a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
